Harvest Style

Palette2Palate celebrates Autumn hues. Burnt Orange is the color to add to your wardrobe this fall. Inspired by the falling Autumn leaves, pumpkins on our door steps and stylish burnt orange fashions which always make great statements.  Like this orange Marc Jacobs silk blouse that will light up the energy in the office when you walk by.
How about this Kristen Blake quilted vest to keep you warm but yet so trendy with the faux fur trim. You will want to be outdoors often to showcase this hot hot little vest.
This Payton Stripe Cardigan will keep you cozy and stylish indoors or out. When people lay eyes on you they will think WOW! Fall never looked so good!
If you're rocking the harvest looks you should be eating some of the seasonal fruits like Persimmons.  Reasons to eat this wonderful harvest fruit are many. They are a great source of fiber.  One medium persimmon gives you up to 6 grams of fiber. They are also high in Vitamins A and C which are both great for the skin, healing wounds and boosting the immune system. There are two kinds of Persimmons. One is Fuyu which looks like a minuture pumpkin and has a crunchy texture. The other is Hachiya which has an acorn shape and must be ripe when eaten, otherwise, it will be too bitter to swallow.

Try this persimmon and pomegranate colorful harvest salad to add that perfect healthy twist to your holiday festivities.Check out SimplyRecipes to get full details on how to make this delicious salad.
Don't forget with Palette 2 Palate color is in all year 'round! Until next time, have a wonderful harvest season.

Honeysuckle Pink

Honeysuckle Pink is rocking all the seasons of the year so far, and it's not stopping for fall!  It's definitely the color of the year!  Add this fiery pink hue to your wardrobe and it will not only make you feel fabulous, it will uplift everyone's mood around you.  Case in point?  This Kate Spade New York 'cherie' wool coat in snapdragon pink.  They call it snapdragon, we call honeysuckle.  Potato, Potahto.  This vibrant color adds the "wow" factor to your wardrobe.

World-famous designer Karl Lagerfeld had this color on his mind when he designed this amazing short sleeve Ponte Pink Vest dress for Impulse available at Macy's.

Color blocking is another big trend this year, keep it going this fall and color block your pinks. That means you can mix and match and combine solid, bold colors.  Check out these beautiful, delicate silk pink blouses. I especially love the bow tie blouse, another must-have this fall.

If you're wearing Honeysuckle Pink, Honey, then try eating the fiery pink meat of the dragonfruit.  Check out all the benefits below.
When you go shopping for your dragonfruit, keep the love and breast cancer awareness going all year, not just in October, by using The Tote Buddy to help you organize your re-usable grocery bags.  And don't forget....with Palette 2 Palate color is in all year 'round!

The night is full with after hours shopping, Celebreties, and events all to support designers worldwide and the economy. Palette 2 Palate came out to celebrate FNO LA at the Beverly Center. The fashion show was spectatular with lots of trends satuared with vivid bold color for fall like red, honeysuckle pink ,emerald, rich hues are here to stay all year long. There was fun varsity inspired jackets, hats, and leopard inspired prints .One trend that caught me eye was faux-fur for that cozy, warm and fabulous look it was all over the runway.

So get cozy this fall!Go Faux-a fake-fur that looks remarkable real and gives a fashionable statement. Here are some pieces from FNO LA base designer Bebe to consider. Coral Melon

Coral, Cool, and Classy are the 3 C's you must have in your closet this summer. But if you're going to pull off that cool and classy melon shade, you have to be in a dreamy state of mind.  This elegant hue makes a woman feel sophisticated and vibrant. With the sun beaming on us we have to find ways to stay cool while looking fabulous. Here are some fresh fashions that will keep your body temperature down but still make you look hot!  For this amazing coral melon trend, look for light fabrics like chiffon.  How about this Haute Hippie cowl neck blouse. Another great fabric that will help you stay cool is cotton, so here is a must have lightweight cotton dress with a cute textured neckline.  At the bottom of it, you'll find a ruffled hem by Elizabeth and James. This dress is to cute for words.

Accessories are so fun anytime of the year especially in the summer when you get to show off so many colors. Why not coral melon? If you're out and about enjoying your local summer concert series at the park in your neck of the woods, wrap this ultraweight wrap in ultrasoft cashmere from "Eyelash" around your neck. Add some colored stone bangles like these by Cara. Also try these floral marquis stone beautiful teardrop earnings to add the right shimmer to that evening out under the stars.

And of course if your are wearing the cool coral shades you should be eating them as well. Cantaloupe provides more beta-carotene than any other melon. It's A-list benefits are due to Vitamin A which helps maintain good vision, fight infection, support cell growth and of course keep skin healthy. We know that is so important for us divas! Here's a quick tip as you enjoy this delicious fruit: Cantaloupe's rough surface makes it susceptible to bacterial contamination. But ladies I got you, and did some research for you all. USDA scientists also give a few helpful hints for us to eat this fruit and put the worries away.  Placing a cantaloupe in hot water at 172 degrees Fahrenheit for three minutes can significantly reduce levels of harmful bacteria without compromising fruit quality.   To cool off sometimes, I like drinking some cantaloupe water, otherwise known in Mexico as Aqua fresca de Melon. Just peel and chop cantaloupe, put it into the blender with ice and H20 and blend away. If the cantaloupe is ripe you don't need to add sugar, but tasteit, and if needed add a dash of sugar and 1/2 lime for a more tangy twist.

Until next time ladies! As for me, I am here chilling with my Aqua fresca de Melon. Aaahh so fresh and so cool!

Electric Orange

Take a look around you this spring and you'll see bright colors pop.  Bold colors are all the rage.  Hmmm....  maybe everybody's finally listening to us here at Palette 2 Palate!  You'll see everything from bright solids to prints that look like a beautiful spring garden.  I fell in love with the flirty, electric orange silhouette dress above.  It will definitely make you the talk of the town and of your next party when you wow everybody with this Taylor jacquard party dress.

You have to check out another dress with a fabulous, vivid orange hue.  I love the floral print, and how cute is that bubble hem on this nanette-lepore dress?!  Looking this hot you'll not only be the talk of the party you might just take it over.

Also this spring, you should seriously add some flowing feminine fabrics to your wardrobe, like this lady-like silk Georgette Draped Blouse that will make a soft, but strong statement.  Also, Ladies, make sure you don't walk out of the house before you accessorize yourself.  This season there are a ton of fun pieces just like this chic wood bangle which adds a great finishing touch to your outfit. Don't forget to love your feet as well this season and step out in style with wedges.  They are all the rage.

Since you're wearing electric orange, you should also electrify your dinner table with the same color!  Eat naturally sweet, crunchy and very healthy carrots.  Easter may have just passed, but don't pass up the bunny's favorite super food!  One cup of chopped carrots holds more than 400 percent of your recommended daily value of Vitamin A when absorbed by the body.  This delicious root vegetable is filled with plant pigments called carotenoids, including beta carotene, which is good for eyesight, skin and growth.  It's also a great source of Fiber,Vitamin C and Potassium which are all very important for your body's metabolism.  Carrots are going to be part of my diet this spring because they're also low in fat which will help me get into all my spring fashions. One more thing, Ladies...carrots provide their maximum benefits when eaten raw.  Try them in all different shades!

That's it for now.  Don't forget with Palette 2 Palate color is in all year 'round!

Lucky Green

Spring is around the corner, so it's the perfect time to bring out the green you've been holding back in your closet.    Green is the color of life, nature, growth, and renewal.  So if you're planning to go out this spring and enjoy nature, here's a light silk, feather fan green print dress you can wear that may turn any haters green with envy.  But wait, you, have haters? Never!  Prints are hot right now, so don't be shy. Step out boldly with this great little print.

On the other hand, be careful you don't cause an accident when the light turns green if you're crossing the street in this simple, but elegant solid green dress that you can rock all spring long. It's called a fountain of youth dress, maybe because of the playful bow in the back, and the cutaway shoulders. Talk about finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!  This timeless dress is something you can recycle from year to year.  This is how WE go green.

Accessories can light up any outfit you're wearing this St. Patrick's Day.  Lucky for you, we found this amazing Watercolor Spots scarf from Nordstrom that looks nature-inspired.  You won't have to worry about getting pinched if you left the green clothes at home.  Just wave around this little four leaf clover ring.  Like the dress, this is also a timeless classic you can wear anytime.  And you never know, it could bring you luck all year long.  Last but not least, check out this Michael Kors Santorini Wicker Clutch, one of the cutest clutches I've seen in a long time.  The wicker can give you a "wicked" cool look to match your favorite green styles this spring.

Your mom never lied when she told you to eat your veggies.  Especially the green ones, like Brussels Sprouts!  Brussels Sprouts belong to the cabbage family, which means they're off the charts in Vitamin K, the blood clotting vitamin.  They also help keep inflammation down, and they're good for your heart!  They're also high in Vitamin C, which we know keeps our immune system strong and healthy.

That's it for now.   Don't forget, with Palette 2 Palate, color is in all year 'round!

Passion Fire Pink!

The month of love, friendship and roses is here!  Are you ready to express your true feelings to that special Valentine? Here at Palette 2 Palate we're sharing our love for you by dressing you in pink. Pink roses symbolize love, gratitude and appreciation. So appreciate yourself with different shades of pink, including this darker shade we like to call Passion fire pink. Be passionate about yourself, while strutting around town in this hot INC International Concept empire waist jersey knit dress.  You can dress it down or jazz it up on your Valentine date!

If your searching for that sweet but elegant look that can rock any pair of jeans, slacks, or skirt try this flirty, ruffled Rebecca Taylor Fairy Tale layered silk top.  You're date will be glad he bought you roses once he sees you in it.  But just in case he's a forgetful, hopeless, well, you know, GUY, make sure you provide roses for yourself with this Give Hope Enamel Necklace from White House Black Market.  Don't give up on hope that he'll come around.  But while you wait, you can at least give hope to someone suffering from Breast Cancer when you buy this gorgeous pearl and rose necklace.  The piece is part of a special collection in honor of breast cancer awareness month.
And of course if you wear pink then you should be eating pink stuff! I found this great exotic fruit to share with you, Ladies.... Dragon Fruit! This amazing fruit goes from a beautiful, bright pink to fiery red, with green tips overlapping scales on the outside. The inside is very unique and can be really colorful going from white to a very pinkish red.  It has hundreds of tiny seeds and tastes sweet and juicy, very similar to a kiwi.  Dragon Fruit is off the charts with Vitamin C which we all know is great for lovely skin and helps heal cuts and bruises, but sorry, probably not broken hearts.  Dragon Fruit is very common in many Asian Countries, but here in the US you can probably find it at your local Farmer's Market, which you should be visiting already ladies, if you have been wearing what you eat! Another place to find Dragon Fruit is at your local Asian Supermarkets. That's where I found mine! You never know, shopping around in your cute pink outfits might help you snag Mr. Right!!  And if not, that's ok, as long as you love yourself.  Because we all know that's what counts.  Right?  Right??  Lots of love to ya, and don't forget with Palette 2 Palate color is in all year 'round.

Purple Presence

Happy New Year Everybody!! This is a great time to reflect and start over.  You are never too old to dream or set new goals! So one of your goals should definitely be to step out looking stunning.  Start the New Year off boldly wearing purple.  It's associated with royalty...and of course, you should treat yourself like a queen this year.  It also symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. And it conveys wealth and extravagance, wisdom, independence, and mystery.

Do you need any more reasons to wear this color?  'Cause I could go on.  All, right I'll stop.  But you get it, right? Like most of us, I'm sure your new year's resolutions include eating healthier and exercising more. Here are some great workout fashions from piperlime in purple that will keep you looking so chic for that morning run, yoga or that fast stroll.  This cool shade will motivate everyone around you to keep up just to see you looking gorgeous.

You can also make some fashionable statements as you get ahead in the work place this year! As we mentioned earlier purple is a color of power and wisdom. This purple dress by Tahari has a great detailed diamond shape cutout neckline that will make everybody in the office begging for you to be their boss.  Step out with great style in this chic purple wool empire waist coat great for that am power meeting or evening mixer. It has a vintage flair and it'll give you an elegant look that will draw people to you just to give you their business card.
Of course we all need to start the new year off with healthy food choices! You know we love to say "Wear what you eat!" So if you're wearing purple, then you're making a great choice by eating purple cabbage. The benefits of purple (aka red) cabbage are off the charts. Purple cabbage is a cruciferous vegetable (which just means it belongs in the same family as bok choy, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower).  These plants contain  isothiocyanates(or antioxidants) and they neutralize free radicals, or bad cells, that may damage good cells.  So, overall, this veggie can help boost you body's cancer-fighting properties.  Cabbage is also a great source of Vitamin C to help keep your immune system strong and Vitamin K which we all need for proper bone growth.  So Ladies,  start adding this beautiful color to your lunch and dinner plate and also wear it!

As always,  with Palette 2 Palate color is in all year 'round!
