Earth Day brings Garden Chic!

Palette 2 Palate is celebrating the outdoors this April in honor of Earth day. Spring is in full bloom and you should be enjoying the outdoors. You can also bring the outdoors indoors, with wonderful fashion pieces that showcase photograhic prints of Southern landscapes and garden designs. Photographer Sara Ball join forces with Anthropologie to bring you a garden chic you can't resist, like this retro-inspired lightweight shirtdress or this very fabulous Kadsu skirt from Anthropoligie.

You can also wear this precious pink cottage blouse with your favorite bottom to make a fun earthy statement when walking around your favorite outdoor garden.
Like always "Wear What You Eat", to match your favorite garden chic fashions you should be eating from the garden as well. How about this amazing Tofu Ceviche recipe, which we know Tofu is a very good source of protein, specifically soy protein, as well as numerous other nutrients necessary for good health. This recipe is full of protein "wow" about 30 grams of protein per serving. Your body nerves, tissues, bones all are made up of proteins. So proteins become very necessary for them to grow and repair.
On this special Earth Day post it is important to be thankful that we are able to buy organic fresh foods.
So, ladies if you’re as thankful as I am please join Organic Authority and celebrate American’s sustainable farmers with a signature online event this Earth Day.

Ladies, how about celebrating earth day with actor Edward Norton and a movie. Well here is your chance with Whole Foods Market for their Do Something Reel Film Festival kicking off on Earth Day – April 22nd. The film festival is an ongoing collection of provocative films about food and environmental issues that can be view online at http://www.dosomethingreel.com/ . Edward Norton is the narrator of the film "The Apple Pushers" a must see. The Apple Pushers, written and directed by Mary Mazzio, and underwritten by the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund, follows immigrant street vendors who are rolling fresh fruits and vegetables into poorer neighborhoods of New York where finding a fresh red ripe apple can be a serious challenge.

That's it for now, don't forget to help your natural enviroment and make a difference!

Starting with this Eliza J. Tropical Flower Chiffon Halter Maxi Dress. May I say so fresh and so clean! this dress will enliven anyone's outlook this spring.
Bring the garden from the waist down with some fun floral skirts that are great to mix with more simple pieces from your closet. Like this stripe and triumph Tulip Long Skirt and Petal Window Tee.

If you want to showcase a bit more of your legs how about this cute Poppy- Scattered Bouquet Mini Skirt. Ladies there is always a way to add a little bit of floral to your wardrobe with some fun accesories like this colorful Gerbera Garden Ring in full bloom by Kate Spade. Also try this Tasha Flower Hair Comb ,flowers are so pretty for your hair.
And of course with Palette 2 Palate we must "Wear What You Eat" so let's look at what wonderful finds to eat this spring to match your floral prints. One of Springs most colorful and juiceist foods are our citrus family.  Tangerines like most citrus fruits, are high in Vitamin C which helps boost your immune system. So add a little extra boost to your spring bbq with this Spicy Chicken and Sunkist Tangerine Kabobs recipe. Another health benefit of Tangerines is in the white tissue that is found between the segments of tangerines is called the lamella, and this membrane is rich in soluble fiber. Soluble fiber helps aid your digestive system. So don't forget to add that twist of tangerine to your plate!

That's it for now and don't forget with Palette 2 Palate color is in all year round.
